Appointments created in Grounded Scribe appear in Google Calendar, and events in Google Calendar block availability for the AI Receptionist.

The AI Receptionist checks your Google Calendar in real time before offering appointment slots to callers.
Appointment Creation
When the AI Receptionist books an appointment, it appears in your Google Calendar with all the details — patient name, appointment type, and notes.

If you use multiple Google Calendars (e.g. work, personal, leave), all can be checked for conflicts.
How to Connect
Sign in with Google
In Grounded Scribe, go to Settings > Calendar and click "Connect Google Calendar". Sign in with your Google account.
Grant calendar permissions
Approve the permission request to allow Grounded Scribe to read and write to your Google Calendar.
Select your calendars
Choose which Google Calendars should be used for availability checking and appointment creation.
Configure in AI Receptionist
Enable the calendar integration in your AI Receptionist settings. The receptionist will now check your live availability.

Can I use Google Calendar without a PMS?

Does it support Google Workspace accounts?
Yes. Both personal Gmail and Google Workspace (business) accounts are supported.
What happens if I have conflicting events?
The AI Receptionist checks all selected calendars for conflicts. If a time slot has any event (even from a personal calendar), it won't be offered to callers.
