A residual category for disorders in which there is a mixture of specific developmental disorders of speech and language, scholastic skills, and motor function, but in which none predominates sufficiently to constitute the primary diagnosis.
Australian Clinical Context
Children with mixed developmental delays are assessed through multidisciplinary teams in Australian child development services. NDIS early intervention funding may be available.

Exclusions:
- Intellectual disability (use Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorder pathway or specialist referral)
- Dementia and organic mental disorders (use specialist referral pathway)
- Tobacco use disorder
Multi-disciplinary assessment may be accessed through the CND pathway if under 25 with complex presentations.
